Walton Homes Signs Two-Year Sponsorship Deal with Stafford Falcons

8th November 2017

Developer Walton Homes has agreed a two-year sponsorship deal with a Stafford junior football team as part of its commitment to supporting local communities.

The business, which has a long-standing history of development in the area, will sponsor the Stafford Falcons Under 8s Royals for the 2017-18 and 2018-19 seasons.

Walton Homes has previously supported a number of charities and individuals in the area including the Staffordshire branch of the NSPCC and Hospital Radio Stafford.

Amy Summerton, director of Walton Homes, said: “2017 has been a big year for us in Stafford, with development having started at sites in Haughton, Wooton and Walton-on-the-Hill.

“With us being so active in the area, we were keen to ally ourselves with a community project. We’re big believers in investing in the areas that we work in and we’ve supported a number of good causes and groups across the county in recent years.

“Stafford Falcons Football Club has a number of teams with players aged from six to 13, all of which are run and coached by volunteers. Competing as they do throughout the borough, we loved the idea of the boys bearing the Walton Homes brand on their shirts as they played.”

The business has now provided the club and its coaches with a branded kit for training and match days, as well as commissioning an advertising hoarding for home games.

Nathan Anderson-Dixon, Team Manager, said: “We’re delighted that Walton Homes have agreed to back the boys for the next two seasons. As a well-known family business and a big supporter of community causes, it’s a superb sponsor for us.

“The club relies entirely on volunteers giving up their time and resources, so for the teams to thrive, we do need the support of local businesses. The team are thrilled to bits with their new kits, and we’re very grateful to Walton Homes – we hope to do them proud!”

Amy added: “We wish the Under 8s Royals lots of luck this season – we’ll be watching their progress eagerly and cheering them on all the way!”
