Work is well underway at Walton Homes’ latest development in the Derbyshire countryside, with 26 new homes set to be launched this summer.
The developer acquired the two-acre plot of land in the picturesque village of Linton Heath, near Swadlincote, in 2018, and began work on the collection of properties at the beginning of this year.
Walton Homes has named the development Ferrers Chase and aims to unveil the showhouse at the site next month.
Amy Summerton, director for the family-owned house-builder, said: “We are expecting high levels of interest in this development on account of its semi-rural location.
“Situated on the outskirts of the National Forest’s Foxley Wood, this collection of three- and four-bedroom homes will be surrounded by 29 hectares of beautiful woodland, while being within easy reach of the plentiful amenities of Linton Heath village and the town of Swadlincote, which is less than five miles away.
“These homes will offer luxury living in an idyllic setting on the edge of Linton Village, with convenient access to its local amenities, the post office, general store and the popular Red Lion pub (Sarah I have googled this and it seems the most likely contender, can you confirm? I can remove the name otherwise). Each of the nine house-types will combine spacious, high-specification interiors with carefully-planned exteriors to complement the environment they are located within.”
Walton Homes has been building homes throughout the Midlands for more than 30 years, and has established a reputation for delivering high quality homes and first-class customer service.
