We're delighted to announce that our Alverton View development has won the West Midlands Best Medium Volume New Housing Development award at the LABC Building Excellence Awards 2026.
The award recognises excellence in building control and construction, and celebrates schemes that demonstrate outstanding quality, safety, and collaboration throughout the build process. Alverton View was selected from a strong field of entries across the region.
Named after the historic name for Alton, Alverton View brought a select collection of 22 homes to the sought-after Staffordshire village, offering 3, 4 and 5 bedroom properties with views across the Staffordshire countryside. The scheme delivered much-needed open market and discount market housing to the Staffordshire Moorlands District, in a beautiful rural setting.
The development was carefully planned to complement the unique character of the village — from the street scene and house types through to the materials used, the scheme blends seamlessly into its surroundings. It was the largest new build development the village had seen for some time, and we worked hard to ensure minimal disruption to local residents throughout.
The project was delivered on budget and on time, achieving anticipated sales values, while the specification was upgraded during construction to exceed minimum building regulations standards. This included wider cavities, solar panels, mechanical ventilation systems and electric vehicle charging, alongside solar-powered communal street lighting and a sustainable attenuation pond that manages surface water while providing valuable wildlife habitat.
