Rugeley-based martial arts group UK Shin Gi Tai Aiki Ju Jutsu Association has, for the second consecutive year, teamed up with Walton Homes in a sponsorship deal.
The year-long sponsorship, which coincides with Walton’s 30th anniversary, will see the much-needed funds going towards new equipment and signage for the club which is based at Staffordshire Martial Arts Centre on Wharf Road.
Senior coach Keith Morgan who holds an 8th Dan, said: “I am thrilled to accept this sponsorship on behalf of the group. It has arrived at a good time for us, as we are approaching our 35th anniversary. We are also into our 10th year of being situated in Rugeley.”
Helen Rollason, sales manager for Walton Homes, comments: “This year is particularly special for us because we have reached a landmark birthday and where possible, we will try to support as many local causes and sports groups in the communities in which we build, as we can.
“We were particularly impressed with the ethos of the group and its core family values. Our development at Woodbury Walk, Rugeley is situated close to the club and the sponsorship was a natural fit for us, as we are investing in the local community by building a wide collection of family homes.
“We look forward to working closely with the group during our celebratory year and we are confident that our new residents may also take an active interest in the sport.”
Woodbury Walk is a canalside development that offers a selection of one, two, three and four-bedroom homes for a wide range of purchasers, from first time buyers to more established families wanting a bigger property to call home.
