Walton Homes, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Operative to join our growing Customer Care team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing general maintenance and repair services across our developments and ensuring high-quality living environments for our homeowners. Your expertise will play a vital role in upholding the standards of our developments and delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine and preventative maintenance tasks on various properties
Minor electrical work
Plumbing repairs
General joinery tasks
Interior and exterior painting and decorating
Tiling
Report to the customer care manager
Be able to work independently on tasks
Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including repairs carried out and any materials used.
Remain professional with customers
Keep work areas tidy and organized, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Qualifications & Skills
Previous experience as a Maintenance Operative or in a similar role within the construction or property development industry.
Strong knowledge of building maintenance practices, including electrical, plumbing, and general repair work.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
High attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining quality standards.
Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanour.
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and prioritize workload effectively.
A valid driver’s license is required, along with a willingness to travel to various development sites.
Working Conditions
The role may require physical activity, including lifting and moving heavy materials.
You may be required to work in various environments, both indoors and outdoors, depending on maintenance needs.
