Walton Homes celebrates another successful year

17th December 2012

Family-run housebuilder Walton Homes is toasting a successful 2012 following the complete sell-out of six of its sites across the Midlands.

To celebrate, and in a bid to help first time buyers and househunters start the new year with their dream home, Walton Homes is offering to pay the reservation fee and legal fees on reservations on all available plots between now and 31st January 2013 – meaning people can secure a new home without the financial burden of making payments in the run-up to Christmas.

Fulfilling their promise at the end of 2011, Walton Homes started construction on six new sites in 2012 and has already completed 50 per cent of the homes at both Appledore and Millfields, which were only released to the market earlier this year.

Helen Rollason, sales manager at Walton Homes said: “Walton Homes has enjoyed yet another great year building on the successes of 2011 and has now sold-out of six of its sites in 2012 – including the popular Brindley Gardens development in Rugeley and Priory Point in Handsacre. The developments have proved extremely popular with local people who are attracted to the flexible homes which cater to the demands of modern lifestyles.

Walton Homes has reported an impressive year of sales as the Council of Mortgage Lenders (CML) revealed that mortgage lending hit an 11 month high in the third quarter – up 14 per cent on the same period in 2011.

Mortgage industry experts have cast a broadly positive outlook on gross lending figures next year, predicting that would-be buyers will see more support given to buyers in 2013, through improvements in the availability and pricing of mortgages on the market.

Helen continued: “To celebrate our successful year, we want to give something back to people who have been saving for a home this year –what better way is there than giving a helping-hand to those first time buyers and second steppers who are eager to start the new year with a brand new home?

“Reservation fees on a typical three bedroom Walton Homes property stand at £500, and legal fees can cost anything up to £1,500. By paying the fees for those people reserving a property before 31st January, Walton Homes could save househunters up to £2,000. We’d advise people who are looking to buy a new home to get in touch – consider it an early Christmas present!”

The family-owned housebuilder has already committed to launching a further seven sites in 2013, including Bellecote Manor in Four Oaks, Evergreens in Kingsbury and Squires Gate in Armitage. These new sites, together with sites already launched, means that Walton Homes will continue to offer a range of high-quality homes to people at every level of the property ladder – including first time buyers, second-steppers, those with young families and downsizers.  All the properties will come complete with the high-quality fixtures and finishes that are associated with Walton Homes, including stylish kitchens and contemporary bathrooms.
