Residential developer Walton Homes is predicting that 2014 will be a year of growth for the local housing market following the sale of 70 per cent of the properties in just three months at its intimate residential scheme, Nethergate Court in Tamworth.

Launched to the public in September last year (2013), the family housebuilder has been inundated with visitors at the popular development, where just three properties  remaining for sale. The developer is now advising potential purchasers to view the last few homes before they sell-out.

Located off Kettlebrook Road, the new homes start in price from £167,500 (£134,000 under Help to Buy), up to £169,950 (£135,960 under Help to Buy) for a spacious three bedroom mews-style terraced property.

“Under Help to Buy, people could own their own home at Nethergate Court with deposit of as little as £8,375 – significantly cheaper than the 20 per cent deposit of £33,500 previously required. Helping purchasers to start 2014 with a brand new home, the housebuilder is giving people the opportunity to buy one of the properties at Nethergate Court with a deposit of just five per cent, whilst still owning 100 per cent of their home. Under the Government scheme Help to Buy, the purchaser needs only to obtain a mortgage for 75 per cent of the property, as the Government will lend up to 20 per cent of the value of the home through an equity loan – meaning that mortgage rates are much more manageable.
